Who we are:
CCS Early Learning, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides quality early childhood education programs and family services for children birth to 5 years of age and pregnant women throughout the Mat-Su Borough.
What we do for children:
Children enrolled in CCS enjoy a learning environment of the highest quality, staffed by qualified early childhood educators. All programs are licensed by the state. Our primary goals are to promote children’s social skills and school readiness.
Classroom experiences include literacy development, early math and science exploration, creative arts, and physical health and development.
Nutrition program provides healthy meals in accordance with the USDA food program.
Developmental and health screenings, with medical resources and referrals as needed.
Variety of outdoor play opportunities and field trips for children enrolled in Head Start.
Regular opportunities for parents to meet with the teachers at the center or at home to discuss their child’s progress.
Bus transportation is provided (when available) to children enrolled in the Head Start preschool program at all center locations.
Programs:
HEAD START (Ages 3-5) - Center-based preschool services available at 3 locations: Wasilla, Palmer, and Fairview. The Head Start program includes bus transportation (when available), breakfast, and lunch.
EARLY HEAD START (6 weeks to age 3) - Center-based early education services available year-round in Wasilla, Palmer, and Fairview. Parents must be eligible for child care assistance.
Class Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm
CCS Early Learning is now a Parents As Teachers (PAT) Affiliate.
The Evidence-Based Home Visiting Model is the comprehensive parent education model used by Parents as Teachers affiliates. The model provides a wide array of services to families with children from prenatal through kindergarten, and also offers deep insights into early childhood development. Since 1984, the Parents As Teachers model has been rigorously tested by peer-reviewed studies and shown to produce outstanding results for families.
